Seattle University – Dept. of Safety Markerboards | Whiteboards

Owner: Seattle University
General Contractor: Skanska USA
Architect: Miller Hayashi
Client: Seattle University

Seattle University’s recent upgrade of their Department of Safety included an open office/command center where all departments could come together and collaborate. As such they need both a writable wall and ample space for every wall to receive audio visual equipment. PBS was able to meet these requirements with a combination of Claridge Series 4 Markerboards and custom field modification.

“our installation team deconstructed the markerboards, modified them for the A/V notch, and re-trimmed them in the field to maximize accuracy and effectiveness.”

Electrical and audio visual equipment require custom cutouts which are common place on many of our installations. What made Seattle University unique was that cutouts took place on the edge of the board. As a result, our installation team deconstructed the markerboards, modified them for the A/V notch, and re-trimmed them in the field to maximize accuracy and effectiveness. The finished product delivered a clean and deliberate look that seamlessly integrated the required A/V.
