There have been many “firsts” during the awe-inspiring construction boom in the greater Seattle-area, but the recent Family Center project is truly unique. While many companies are willing to donate unused space, one local-area institution was able to provide 63,000 square feet of dedicated space as a shelter to Seattle-area families facing homelessness. We at PBS were thrilled to partner with our friends at GLY on this project providing several different surfaces, all of which provided both function as well as a splash of color and texture to the common spaces.

acoustic properties to help bring a little acoustic relief to busy common areas

Forbo Bulletin Board Linoleum Cork is a highly practical product which can be cut to fit in almost any size and shape which was required to fit into the multi-surface Forest Walls on each floor. Furthermore the breadth of the color options was utilized to give each floor its own distinct look and feel. Acoustical Surfaces Sound Silencer Panels (affectionally known as "noodle boards") provide both a tackable surface and acoustic properties to help bring a little acoustic relief to busy common areas.
